The second graders enjoyed their first gathering with their 8th grade pen pals. We read and discussed the poem The Great Figure by William Carlos Williams. The pen pals then had to create their own descriptive sentences and illustrate it in the pen pal notebook.

Welcome to second grade! I am Mrs. Besteiro (pronounced best-air-o), the second grade teacher. This blog has helpful information such as spelling lists, math concepts, social studies topics, pictures of field trips, fun activities, and much more. In second grade, the students work with the Smart Board to enhance the learning process. They use the interactive whiteboard by reading the morning message, using and manipulating visual aids during lessons and playing enrichment activities.
